The center's own collection site offers historic photographs, newspapers, yearbooks, oral memories and objects. That digital archive makes it possible to preview a theme before a visit, then use the physical exhibits to connect people and places.
Ask what exhibition is current and browse old Avalon beach and town images. The center's about page says displays rotate and the Avalon Historical Society supports the collection. This is a calm stop for a rainy shore day or for a family-history question.
