Inside the Ocean City Community Center, the Ocean City Historical Museum traces the island from its 1879 founding through the boardwalk, the 1901 grounding of the Sindia, lifeguard history and the people who shaped this resort. Rotating exhibits mean there is something new to see even if you know the beach well.
Find it at 1735 Simpson Avenue. The museum currently lists Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; check the official museum site for the day you plan to go. Read our full visitor guide for exhibits and a local history itinerary.
